Mutton Bustin

Come Watch Before

The Rodeo!

Mutton busting is one of the most popular events at the Old Fort Days Rodeo, where nightly a group of kindergarten and first graders don their best western finery, slap on a helmet and protective vest and try and hang onto a runaway sheep for as long as they can. All Mutton Bustin' participants must be between the ages of 4 and 6 years old and not weigh more than 60 pounds. Contestents can pre-register by downloading and printing out the 2016 Rules Form and Release form and mailing both of them along with the $15.00 entry fee to:

Kay Rodgers Park

PO Box 4145
Fort Smith, AR 72904

All pre-registrations forms must be postmarked by May 20th, 2016. Pre-registration is not required, but is encouraged. Walk-ups will be allowed to register each night, but only as slots are available. Only 50 contestents each night will be allowed to participate. The minor release form must be signed and filled out the night the contestent is to ride.

If there are any questions please call 479-462-3147.
